Duluth 709 Baseball Enters Its 2nd Season

The Duluth 709 Baseball group comprised of members from Western, Central, Eastern, and Lake Park baseball will enter it's 2nd year as an organization.   Each individual association approved the change to Gopher State Baseball for the 13/14/15 year old age levels in year 1.  We are now adding in the 12-year old option to play with the 13-year olds in league play, the 10/11 Majors levels at Lake Park and Western, and tournament team opportunities down to the 10-year old level as well as adding in the 15U Tournament Team.

To be able to unify baseball in Duluth while working together to provide consistent experiences and opportunities is the primary objective.   Through shared resources amongst the Duluth ISD 709 area, the organization is hoping to bridge the baseball community to provide all levels of baseball, from our neighborhood house leagues all the way to our high schools and share in these successes.

League teams at the 12/13 & 14/15 year old levels will be divided between the high school boundary lines as Denfeld Baseball & East Baseball, with the approach of lining up with the high school programs (Marshall players use the boundary lines, but may have a team based on number of participants at that age level).  Rosters will be put together shortly after registration ends.  There will be 2 divisions, 12/13U (6th/7th Grade) and 14/15U (8th/9th Grade) and will play in the Northland Big League against other area teams.  League teams at the 10//11U Majors level will be put together in conjunction with the local associations.
